This piece is woven with a linen and cotton warp (50% cotton, 50% linen) and both cotton and linen in the weft, all sourced second hand, and hangs on a brass rod. The divided warp lets the linen and cotton hang freely in spaces as though they are rippling across the cloth.
The rougher linen contrasts with the soft cotton and the elasticity / rigidity of both fibres brings an additional irregularity to the finished piece.
