This piece is woven with a linen and cottolin (50% cotton, 50% linen) warp and hangs on two brass rods.
I wove with all kinds of scraps and odds and ends I’ve been collecting over the years, all leftover bits from different projects, including raffia, mohair, polyblends, cotton, and linen scraps. This piece was an end of warp project, where I could weave intuitively and freely without any set constraints or plans. It became a sort of spaced patchwork of ideas, patterns and textures all tied together with thread.
