These curtain panels are sewn with a flat felled seam (so that they look good from both sides); inspired by Pojagi, a Korean style of patchwork art where pieces of fabric are stitched together to create wrapping cloths.
I love how these can be made from smaller pieces of fabric; it’s a great way to use scraps or upcycle garments – whenever I make curtains like these I use many different fabrics; from old sheets, scrap fabrics that I get from locally made garments, old clothes or thrifted linens… small pieces that really bring so much depth and nuance to the curtains.

If you’d like your own custom panel, I’d love to work with you! Please send me an email lucie@sofarstudio.co.za
